The Corporate Franchise Management team manages the cross-company presence and strategy of the largest character franchises: Mickey Mouse, Disney Princess, Frozen, Spider-Man, Avengers and Cars.
Manage creation, compiling and proactive sharing of franchise analytics and consumer insights in support of effective franchise strategy, planning and management. This includes franchise financials, key business performance indicators, primary consumer research, competitive tracking and industry data and trends.
Establish and manage tools and processes that enable seamless and proactive sharing of business intelligence to support franchise planning and management across segments and regions.
Responsibilities
Support creation and distribution of cross-business performance metrics and advanced analytics to identify impact of large strategic initiatives
- Conduct advanced analytics utilizing business performance data and consumer insights
- Develop concise, powerful presentations to clearly illustrate key findings
- Support Directors and Managers of franchise management with ad hoc business driver data requests in support of strategy work and business planning.
Support creation and distribution of quarterly franchise financials and regular forecasts for each franchise across all TWDC segments and regions
- Run analysis to vet P&Ls for accuracy
- Create communications that highlight key trends
Support Directors and Managers of franchise management with data and analysis for scenario planning and business case development work.
Support Sr. Manager of Consumer Insights in conducting both quantitative trackers and qualitative research, as well as analysis and reporting of all consumer insight work in support of franchise management including:
- Project initiation (refining objectives, survey/screener/discussion guide design, etc.)
- Vendor management and communication
- Analysis of research results and synthesis of findings
- Creating communications for key stakeholders
- Ad hoc data pulls and consumer insight analysis
Compile and create reports on industry and competitive data in support of franchise strategy, planning and management
- Cross-BU consumer and marketplace insights
- Competitive reviews/analysis
Support ad hoc competitive and industry data requests in support of strategy work and business planning.
Help manage infrastructure for safely and securely storing and sharing all business metrics, customer insights, and franchise marketing assets in support of Franchise strategy, planning and management across the enterprise
- Support regular review / clean-up processes
Help curate information stored in cloud to ensure key stakeholders are able to quickly and easily find what they need
Basic Qualifications
- 2-4 years of prior experience in business consulting or company planning roles.
- Good understanding of financials (revenues, costs), financial reporting systems, and business performance metrics
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience developing concise, story-driven presentations synthesizing key findings from industry and consumer data
- Expertise in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Experience working in entertainment business
- SPSS experience
- Good strategic thinking•Quickly grasps business issues and determines financial and business performance metrics needed to inform development of strategies and decision-making
- Able to sift through multiple types of information (consumer research, financials, consumer trends) to distill key insights and develop recommended actions
- Well organized
- Good project management skills
- Results oriented
- Ability to multi-task and execute quality work under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with a highly collaborative working style
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience distilling complex data/analysis into crisp insights for management presentations.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at Disney especially helpful.
- Experience in Disney financial reporting and forecasting systems and processes highly desirable
- Consumer insights experience (quantitative survey or tracking research experience is a plus)
