Pricing Analyst

Wayfair is looking for a business savvy “mathlete” to join the Pricing Team. This team is responsible for pricing millions of products worldwide with a high degree of executive-level visibility. The Pricing Analyst will brainstorm, execute, and test pricing theories working with terabytes of data. We’re looking for someone who enjoys analyzing and solving business problems AND enjoys flexing their math skills to have a significant and measurable impact on the profitability of our business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm and test theories
- Develop executive level reports
- Analyze pricing effects
- Code pricing logic
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years as a business analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or other concentrations with heavy quantitative focus strongly preferred
- Experience or internships in a data-focused, quantitative role
- Experience with or interest in internet marketing
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
- Interest in a test-and-learn, statistics-based approach to program development
- SQL experience is not required, but aptitude for learning SQL is required
- Interest in working hard, being challenged in a fast-paced environment, and having fun while doing it
