Job Description
The Director of Data Products will champion a Data-as-a-Product mindset, responsible for planning, leading, managing and executing the product roadmap utilizing WWE's enterprise data assets in partnership with business units at WWE. This role will be key to the rollout of the data driven products and platform reporting across WWE, and will partner with Data Analytics, business units and other technology teams across WWE portfolio to analyze user needs, documenting user stories, prioritizing themes and epics based on KPIs and other inputs, and tracking feature impact on KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the Product Manager for Data Warehouse platform, enabling enterprise analytics applications and functional analytical/data science solutions.
- Define the vision and strategy of data products and capabilities aligned to overall organizational and business objectives
- Combine the voice and needs of the users and business requirements to create both high-level roadmaps and detailed delivery plans of features and capabilities. Leading prioritization, stakeholder management and delivery for ingestion, processing and availability of data
- Partnering with consumer-facing Product Managers to design tracking, capture & upstream data production solutions for product launches
- Evaluating, integrating and managing relationships with data solution providers
- Develop detailed product specifications with user scenarios and acceptance criteria and success measures.
- Use a metrics-driven product development approach. Define success measures for roadmap items and demonstrate measurable impact on those success metrics
- Partner with Analytics, Data Science, UX, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Program Management teams to develop, test and deliver high-quality products and features that meet end-users' and internal business' needs
- Lead and collaborate on all business readiness activities including product testing, end-user education, rollout, iteration and support
- Oversee the adoption of new features and capabilities across the organization
WHAT TO BRING:
- Expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- Clickstream data: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
- Content analytics: TV, social media, YouTube, digital content distributors
- Direct-to-consumer: subscription-based, direct to consumer marketing, e-commerce
- Advertising: ad serving
- 5+ years in product management experience with building and delivering successful data products, services, and capabilities
- 3+ years of experience in applied data science, analytics or Machine learning is a big plus
- Good understanding of AWS/GCP, relational and normalized databases from both utility as well as data model design and development
- Familiarity with ETL and ELT methodologies
- Working knowledge of SQL or basic query languages, Excel, statistical profiling and analysis
- Planning acumen and demonstrated skill in pragmatic work breakdown / MVP definition
- Highly analytical and collaborative qualities with strong technical, strategic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and juggle with competing priorities and make decisions in ambiguous situations
- Strong leadership skill especially the ability to lead through influence across functional and organizational lines
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment, drive change, and collaborate with a variety of individuals and organizational partners
- Experience presenting to and working with senior leaders
- Knowledge and experience of agile/scrum product development
- Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Economics or related field
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Advance CS, Elec, STEM or Information Systems degree and/or MBA is a plus
- Experience with delivering large scale enterprise applications using big data open-source solutions such as Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Kafka, and Elastic Search / Solr
- Proficiency in SQL and one or more of these DB's - Oracle, MySQL, Teradata
- Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools
- Industry experience in video streaming, OTT, Social Platforms, CRM tools, Direct to consumer marketing, Ecommerce
- Knowledge of Open Source Systems and Tools is a big plus
