Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager role is to lead a team of consultants to provide the measurement of metrics, reports, dashboards and business intelligence to their associated product groups (Apple, Samsung, Motorola, other devices and accessories.   The Sr. Manager should be knowledgeable about the functional business areas of the forward supply chain business and drive commonality of processes, tools and methods across the product groups to enable efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting.  He should manage the team of consultants and have an understanding of the business objectives, data questions, and reporting problems and create new BI services offerings and value propositions, collaborating with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management, delivery, and translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements. In Addition the Sr. Manager will facilitate the S&OP activity in wireless organization within the Supply Chain organization and with the different business stakeholders (Finance, Device Marketing and etc.)

  1. Build and lead, autonomously,  a team of consultants to provide the reports, measurement of the metrics, dashboards and business intelligence to the product group that they are responsible
  2. Drive and strategize the standardization of processes, methods, tools, data metrics and KPIs leveraging business process and data knowledge.

    - Drive accuracy and consistency in data and reporting.

    - Understand business strategy and KPIs, and provide stewardship of necessary data and metrics in support of organizational goals.

    - Manage user expectations and help lead organizational change management efforts regarding data and analytics.
  3. Lead the strategy to S&OP activities, including system enhancements, future requirements, metrics and improvements to the metrics for S&OP

    Facilitate weekly S&OP VP meetings
  4. Hold and facilitate daily operational meetings with the planning and logistics team to coordinate and prioritize operational execution across the product groups working closely with the forward and logistics teams.
  5. Stay current and learn business intelligence tools to provide business group with the best available reporting and also be cross-trained on other product groups to be able to support his team.

Qualifications

  • At least a BS degree in a technical field like computer science, information science, data forensics
  • 3+ years with familiarity of SQL, COGNOS, Tableau or other visualization tools
  • Experience and competency in supply chain management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in engaging and influencing large teams and functional leaders
  • Knowledge of business processes
  • Has lead teams before
  • Detail oriented emphasizing accuracy.
  • Quick learner.
  • Works well in team environments.
  • Solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to lead meetings and/or teams to reach consensus to drive results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate problems.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
