Client and Position Overview:

Our client is Uline, a privately-held, industry leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging supplies to a broad and diverse customer base in North America. The company delivers an innovative portfolio of stock and custom products, a well as the highest quality, value, and service level to customers. The company will hire a Director of Executive Analytics as the #2 analytics executive reporting to the Vice President of Executive Analytics.

The Director will lead a team of Managers and Data Analysts in the Executive Operations group and collaborate with all levels of leadership to ensure business decisions align with the strategic plan and company priorities. The candidate will lead assessments, analyses, and audits of company operations, functional areas, and processes to identify improvement opportunities, and create actionable insights and business intelligence.

The Director will deliver recommendations to leadership, including the President and executive leadership team. The candidate create, review, and summarize weekly, monthly and yearly reports, and work collaboratively with all levels of the company on analytics inquiries and projects.

Preferred Professional Experience:

The position requires an accomplished analytics executive with 12+ years of experience in the assessment and improvement of business operations, and 5+ years managing teams. The Director will be experienced with continuous improvement, financial planning and analysis, modeling and forecasting, and strategic assessment and planning. Ideally the candidate will have worked for complex distribution businesses and have a strong understanding of operations and supply chain. Prior consulting experience would be advantageous.

The Director will be a very adept team and project manager that can prioritize and complete initiatives efficiently and on time, and balance the needs of the business with the capabilities of the team. The candidate will have enterprise and analytics systems experience and understand how to identify and drive step change improvements for the business.

Education, Compensation, and Location:

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree preferably Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Operations or a related quantitative discipline. An MBA is preferred strongly, as are professional certifications in analytics, continuous improvement, and technology.
