The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Workforce Insights (WI) Data Analyst to continue to drive the human resources business intelligence and analytics program forward across all human resources functions and segments.
The WI Data Analyst is an expert in understanding business objectives, data questions, and reporting problems. You will be challenged to create new BI services offerings and value propositions, collaborating with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery, translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
As a WI Data Analyst you will be responsible for both operational and analytical processes, algorithms, and technologies that transform raw data into meaningful and useful information for business purposes. This will include, but not be limited to:•Common business intelligence operations such as trending and slicing measures across various dimensions
- Business performance management
- Benchmarking
- Predictive analytics
- Prescriptive analytics
This position will require strong verbal and written presentation skills and the ability to work closely with various human resources segments and functions to gain perspective and a strong understanding of objectives. A portion of this role will also include security management, data governance and training. A pro-active, independent, high energy positive attitude is a must.

~~Basic Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst with strong data analysis skills and proven track record in meeting aggressive deadlines
- Experience in complex, cross-departmental projects involving multiple platforms
- Experience with Data Modeling and Data Analysis
- Experience with relational database platform(s)
- Experience with common BI Tool(s)
- Proficiency with numbers and statistics
- Experience with statistical software packages and ability to adapt to and learn different reporting tools, database platforms, languages and applications
- Strong communication skills to be able to influence others with the story of what you’re seeing in the data; ability to advise senior management in clear language about the benefits of their work for the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of IBM Cognos Report Studio and Tableau
- Advanced knowledge of DB2 database, syntax, and structures
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting, economics, statistics, information science or similar study; or equivalent experience.
