Summary Description

This Primary responsibility is to lead a team that deploys and supports a large, dynamic pool of Teradata data warehouse systems for a global user community of developers, testers and customer services personnel. This is a hands-on technical leader position.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Provide support for all generations of Teradata data warehouse hardware and software from pre-release through end of life
Collaborate with design engineers in the introduction of new Teradata hardware platforms into the Teradata Labs test environment
Set-up/installation of new Teradata data warehouse systems
Reconfiguration of Teradata data warehouse hardware and software
Trouble-shoot/debug issues with Teradata test systems
Drive process/efficiency improvements
Produce procedural documentation
Reviews repair work orders for detail and thoroughness
Participate in the off-hours on-call support rotation for high priority Incidents

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
2+ years in a technical lead role in an enterprise environment
4+ years of experience in the installation, configuration, and support of Linux systems
6+ years of experience supporting servers, storage, database in an enterprise environment
US Permanent Residence

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Teradata platforms
Knowledge of Data Warehouse solutions
