Sagence is actively seeking ETL Developers who are looking for hands-on experience working with Fortune 500 companies in the financial services, healthcare, insurance, and technology industries. As an ETL Developer at Sagence, you will help us build and enhance our clients’ data capabilities and create a competitive advantage. Below you will find an overview of the position requirements and the characteristics of our successful ETL Developer professionals.
Skills & Responsibilities:
Candidates must have a combination of:
- Deep understanding of ETL methodologies, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing principles, approaches, technologies, and architectures including the concepts, designs, and usage of data warehouses and data marts
- Ability to work closely with business and technical teams to understand, document, design, develop, code, and test ETL processes
- Demonstrated experience in ETL design and options to improve load and extract performance
- Ability to translate source to target mapping documents into ETL processes
- Ability to design, develop, test, optimize and deploy ETL code and stored procedures to perform all ETL related functions
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- 3+ years of experience developing ETL programs
- 3+ years of experience developing Business Intelligence solutions
- Ability to mentor and perform knowledge transfer to support team
Tools & Technology:
Must be proficient in leveraging the tools and technology that drive value for our clients. Illustrative tools include:
- ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Infosphere DataStage, Goldengate, Ab Initio)
- Database management systems (e.g., MYSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata)
- Data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER/Studio, IBM Data Architect)
Consulting Acumen:
- Strong decision-making, project management, and communication skills
- A demonstrated ability engaging and communicating with stakeholders, across both business and technology functions
- Strong technical, strategic and business analysis skills with the ability to solve complex problems
Industry Experience:
While not required, experience in the industries outlined below is preferred:
- Prior professional experience in a management consulting environment or client facing role
- Knowledge and experience working within Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, and Technology industries
General Requirements
- Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Sagence does not provide sponsorship for work visas.
- 2-3+ years of professional experience working in a related role
- Must be collaborative, innovative, curious, resourceful, and exhibit a positive attitude
- Strong desire to work on exciting projects with smart and creative people
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
- Must reside in the Chicago or New York metropolitan area
