Customer Retail Strategy is adding a planning analytics component to assist its Customer Services Planning department in capitalizing on the value and insights we can extract from data collection efforts enabled by smart meters. Under the direction of this lead position, an analytics team will plan and implement new strategies and work towards a centralized approach as a long-term vision for our business. The successful candidate will have demonstrated skill in data science, customer analytics, and business intelligence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Use statistical and quantitative analysis of data as well as explanatory and predictive modeling
- Develop, evaluate and refine analytic models using data to address business needs
- Identify the most high value business problems and questions which if answered, would yield significant value (cost savings, increased customer satisfaction, process efficiency, optimization of resources)
- Identify sources of data needed for key business problems and their locations, structure, and accessibility and readiness for aggregations
- Prepare visualizations of data in order to explain and persuade
- Develop and lead key analytics projects that are cross functional, involve multiple stakeholders and have a high degree of risk
- Lead development of business cases and cost/benefit analyses to educate others on business decision-making concepts and techniques
- Develop cross-functional teams and contacts throughout the organization to facilitate data sharing
- Identify existing hardware, architecture and software tools for aggregating, storing, processing data and assess their availability, accessibility, and capabilities for enterprise use
- Articulate key findings to audiences and advocate the use of analytics to drive change
- Identify key perceived barriers to overcome in transitioning to a data-driven culture
- Establish goals for data quality, data management, business process to improve integrity, trust and consistency across the business unit
- Organize existing data sets for functionality and broad use by the business unit
- Develop business unit goals for furthering analytics capabilities for process efficiency and customer sales and service
- Drive strategic decisions by making changes through fact-based insights
- Create an approach to effectively prioritize projects that provide the most value and are aligned with corporate goals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- 5 or more years of senior level work experience in customer planning analytics
- Demonstrated success in implementing complex projects
- Excellent project management skills
- Financial management skills
- Oral and written communication skills with technical material in an understandable manner to non-technical audiences and decision makers
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, presentation, software and documentation tools and methods
- Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
- Comprehensive understanding of statistical analysis processes and methodologies
