Neiman Marcus Group has an immediate opening for a Manager of Customer Insight / Data Scientist reporting to the Director of Advanced Analytics. This position supports the advanced analytics team in providing insight into customer behavior to support decision making relating to promotions, events and marketing programs for all brands both in stores and online.
Support advanced analytic team in exploiting data in an effort to promote growth and business development via deep data mining analysis in a hadoop environment
Leverage state-of-the-art data mining tools and analytical methodologies to drive improved decisions
Develop and/or implement various types of predictive models, segmentation strategies, optimization algorithms, and data mining analyses with a targeted result of increasing revenue
Conduct multi-channel analytics for online and integrated online/offline contexts
Summarize and present analyses to Marketers, Merchants, Vendors, and Executives
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional standards for quality and strong attention to detail
- 2+years writing production quality code in any of the following languages: Hive/Pig/R/Cascading
- Knowledge of SAS (in addition to the languages above) is preferred
- Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques is a bonus
