The Marin County Human Resources Department and the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are accepting applications for the position of Department Analyst II.
The Department Analyst II reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for performing analyses of programmatic, fiscal, outcomes and satisfaction data for use in monitoring program performance and compliance with relevant County, State and Federal requirements as well as informing management-level decision making. The position additionally assists programs in developing and refining data collection tools and strategies, and provides guidance to entry-level administrative staff in data entry and cleaning and assists in report and presentation preparation as needed.
The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of and experience in analyzing fiscal and program data for the purposes of continuous quality improvement. The candidate should have proven database creation and management skills, and have a strong background in the analysis and visualization of complex data using targeted applications/languages (SQL, Access, Complex Excel). The ideal candidate should possess content knowledge of mental health and substance use programs, familiarity with electronic medical records and practice management systems. The successful candidate should be team-oriented, as well as possess the abilities to make sound, independent decisions while meeting the varying needs and deadlines of the division.
