Job Description

The Graph Analytics Operation within Intel Labs develops systems solutions that address the challenges of Big Data Analytics and Large-Scale Machine Learning with disruptive technology. It is focused on delivering new software and hardware technologies that will transform datacenter operations and improve user experience.

In this position, you will be responsible for conceiving, researching, and prototyping graph based applications and frameworks, and you will develop relevant software and hardware technologies with the goal of converting these to product and fueling Intel's growth. You will use your strong knowledge of scientific principles to identify and research promising technologies typically 1-2 years prior to product development. This requires a good understanding of state-of-the-art techniques in SQL, NoSQL, and graph databases, along with a strong understanding of datacenter computing systems. You must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work in a demanding team-oriented environment.

You are expected to maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and contribute regularly to scientific literature and the research community at-large. You may also participate in the development of intellectual property.

Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through your educational level research and/or relevant job/internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant engineering discipline
  • 1 year of experience with the design and implementation of graph, relational, and/or NoSQL databases
  • 1 year of experience with the design and implementation of large-scale parallel systems (e.g., MapReduce frameworks, parallel databases, etc.)
  • 2 years of experience in functional and object-oriented programming (e.g., C++, Java, etc.)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with systems software for the Linux OS
  • 1 year of experience with performance profiling and characterization
  • 1 year of experience in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, etc.)
