Job Description

The Associate Director of Analytics is responsible for developing, designing and implementing the research agenda for the organization. They will work across departments to identify opportunities where analytics can optimize program or provide efficiencies for our work. They will be responsible for developing cross-departmental reporting, find opportunities to survey members and other research as needed. They will oversee all organizational experiments and learnings.

In addition, this position is responsible for managing and developing a strong team. This person will manage a small staff and work with them to develop the skills necessary to serve the organization. You will also work with staff to automate workflows, review work product and set them up on a professional development path that will make them stronger analysts. 

This position is full-time, with a salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The position is based in Washington D.C., however, remote applicants may be considered. Responsibilities

  • Develop the survey methodology and analysis for building out our member listening project 
  • Manage and share public and private survey results across the organization
  • Design and oversee experimental analysis
  • Develop cross organizational targeting for advocacy and electoral work
  • Manage a small team of analysts and assist them with their work and professional development

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience 
  • Experience with developing and implementing organizational polling strategy 
  • Experiencing running randomized controlled experiments
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
  • Experience scoping and developing reporting for multiple audiences 
  • Advanced knowledge of APIs, R, SQL or Python

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with digital and field data
  • Previous management experience
  • Experience training non-technical staff in data protocols, standards and methodologies
  • Bachelor or Master's degree or relevant work experience
