Job Description

The Supply Chain Business Analyst will provide analytical and reporting support to Illumina’s global procurement organization. This organization operates in a dynamic, fast paced environment and is pursuing significant process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytic and Excel capabilities. The candidate will collaborate across multiple functions and regions and will have the opportunity to make significant improvements to a range of processes. A strong understanding of fundamental supply chain principles is preferred. 

Job duties: 

  • Collaborate with buyers to manage and drive the quarterly safety stock and order modifier review process
  • Manage the monthly PPV review process including the preparation of PPV reports and analysis
  • Develop reports and processes to ensure that master data is accurately maintained 
  • Collaborate with Life Cycle Management, Commodity Managers, and Buyers to collect and summarize cost savings data
  • Collaborate with Buyers and Commodity Managers to develop purchase forecasts
  • Ownership of global purchasing dashboards including presentation of data at management meetings
  • Maintain and update the supplier risk ranking database
  • Act as a liaison between Cost Accounting and Procurement for cost rolls
  • Partner with regional procurement organizations to set target inventory levels, prepare monthly inventory reports
  • Lead initiatives to improve, map, and document business processes

Preferred Education Background:
BA/BS in Finance, Supply Chain, Cost Accounting, Statistics, Business, Informatics, Economics

Preferred Experiential Background:

  • 1-3 years of analytical experience with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to prepare and analyze complex data sets
  • Ability to write SQL reports a plus 
  • Working knowledge of planning processes and systems 
  • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems independently 
  • Excellent math skills, strong organizational skills and very detail oriented 
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Must have the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations 
  • Ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates and all levels of employees and management
