Financial Analyst Job Description

Insulation Distributors, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our IDI Corporate team. This position prepares sales and operations analysis and reports including segment, product, and project revenue, margin, and profitability analysis to ensure that
business decisions maximize financial performance generating growth. Additional duties may be required as assigned.

The ideal candidate must be able to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

Create and effective environment for sharing relevant information by providing decision support to sales, marketing and operations functions through analysis and reporting
Update, support and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) data and
processes
Facilitate analysis and decision making by writing reports with quality business data obtain from GP Report Writer, SSRS, and SmartList Builder.
Recommend and assist with implementation of changes to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, improve cash flow and take advantage of opportunities.
Prepare Product and Business Segment revenue, margin and profitability analysis, focusing on key revenue and cost drivers
Create financial models and analysis of sales and service relatedexpenses to improve margin or support contract negotiations.

Financial Analyst Job Qualifications

As a Financial Analyst for Insulation Distributors, you must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team and have a professional, customer-focused attitude. You must also be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Familiarity with core financial and distribution modules, project accounting, field service and business portal a big plus
Demonstrated skill with MS SQL Server
Solid understanding of the underlying table structure within Dynamics
Report writing experience using GP Report Writer, SSRS, and SmartList Builder

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting
2+ years of experience in financial reporting systems, Dynamics GP version 10 or higher experience preferred
A strong understanding of finance, strategic planning; and sales processes a plus
Exceptional skills in data analysis, communication, & problem solving
Able to analyze and synthesize complex information to drive business decisions
Strong work ethic with high performance standards
Willingness to productively challenge status quo and offer new approaches and ideas by anticipating future trends and their potential impact.
