We are looking for a Consumer Insights Analyst to turn numbers into insights that will drive our growth. 

We are open to fully remote candidates throughout the United States.

This role is about more than consumer insights; it is about finding non-obvious trends and opportunities.  To do this, you will need to be curious and comfortable thinking unconventionally and then testing these ideas.  You’ll need to take pride in the quality of your work and be passionate about telling stories with data.  You’ll also need to be the kind of person that likes to juggle multiple complex projects at once and work with a lot of autonomy.

The Skill Set

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and keen ability to synthesize complex data points
  • Expert in writing complex queries in SQL
  • Thorough understanding of digital marketing metrics and KPIs
  • Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools (i.e. Snowflake, Teradata or other parallel database)
  • Deep knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, v-lookups, vba, etc.)
  • Experience with web analytics tools
  • Advanced proficiency in statistical modeling with an overall eagerness to learn
    new technologies

Within 1 Month, You Will

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer journey and key customer segments, uncovering opportunities within the data to drive new customer acquisition, retention and growth
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of churn behaviors, identify opportunities to improve our subscription program
  • Synthesize large volumes of complex data, refining that raw data into actionable insights meaningful to the business
  • Translate results into visual dashboards that are actionable and digestible by all teams (i.e. Marketing, Growth and Product Development, etc.)
  • Increase the company’s use of our data and set a high bar for analytics across the business

Within 3 Months, You Will

  • Create predictive models for customer lifetime value of subscription members
  • Manage and prioritize incoming analytics requests
  • Identify trends and proactively suggest business improvements
  • Provide data driven recommendations for our marketing strategy by analyzing customer metrics from our website, email and advertising
