The Role:

The role of Director, Analytics & Reporting will help us use data to tell the story of our success to clients, and consumers. We will use data insights to sell our products, guide the direction of the product, run the business, and ensure we are delivering on our commitments. You will help guide the strategy of how we will accomplish these goals as we quickly scale to meet the high demand for our product. You will need excellent analytical and problem-solving skills working with a variety of data sets, including big data. This role is a 100% work from home role.

How you will make an impact:

As part of our small but mighty team, you will influence the design and implementation of our data management strategy. Day to day work will include: 

  • Build complex queries on large data sets and performance tune as needed

  • Translate business needs into data visualizations

  • Collaborate with data platform teams

  • Foster a self-service analytic environment by providing domain and tool expertise

  • Perform root cause analysis on reporting and data issues

  • Self-motivate, set goals, prioritize, and meet deadlines

  • Partner with internal and external peer groups to design and implement solutions.

  • Create technical documentation

 Required Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience such as reasonable knowledge of healthcare information (population health, eligibility, health data, claims, billing, HIPAA)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent experience  

  • 4+ years of experience in complex SQL programming - preferably AWS Redshift

  • 1+ years of professional experience with AWS QuickSight and Tableau

  • Ability to work with databases in Cloud environments

  • Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and technologies

  • Ability to communicate with internal and external teams both verbally and written 

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications:

  • Digital health / health tech experience 

  • Experience at a startup 

  • Experience with enterprise data governance initiatives, including implementing enterprise level tools and processes

  • Experience with AWS Lambda, SageMaker, EMR, PySpark, Python

  • Experience with Jupyter notebooks

  • Graduate degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Statistics or equivalent
