We are looking for a talented Vertica developer who wants to work on the forefront of healthcare information technology in a highly collaborative Agile/Scrum environment creating high performance back-end database/BI solutions.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will use their skills to help develop database products that support BI analytics solutions to address some of the healthcare industry’s greatest challenges. The key technologies for this position are Vertica, ETL, Talend, Linux, AWS (S3), and Redshift. Experience with other database technologies in a Big Data environment is a plus. Health care experience is a nice to-have, particularly familiarity with HIPAA compliance, but it is not a requirement.
Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on professional experience with Vertica as a Developer or DBA is the most critical skill. Ideal candidates should also be comfortable using other Massive Parallel Processing (MPP) technologies like Amazon Redshift, ETL tools like Talend or SSIS, and have a deep knowledge of SQL and scripting languages.
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a foreign equivalent. Must have at least 4 years of working experience in computer engineering, system/data analysis and/or database programming. The ideal candidate will also have experience with cloud technology, data modeling tools like Erwin, and Data Warehousing technology in general. Microsoft Business Intelligence Professional certification a big plus.
