ESPN is seeking a dynamic professional to help define, execute and bring to market our ad product vision. This person will be part of the Global Data team, responsible for the product set that includes Data Products & related offerings in the Commercial and Ad Technology space – including data for targeting, data for analytics, architecture for data science & data analytics to serve ad technology, and the ad tech stack(s) required for delivery to our clients. The Senior Manager, Ad Platform Product will focus on ESPN’s proprietary technology tech stack as well as our vendor partners (including data and media partners such as the DMP, 3rd party Matching, Adserving and Measurement partners.)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the roadmap for ad & data products. Partners with internal business stakeholders, ESPN/Disney Technology and ESPN/Disney vendor partners to package and operationalize so they can be scaled across multiple clients, with process automation.
  • Define and prioritize product enhancements to ESPN’s data products including using proprietary ESPN Data & internal products, industry data products & technology.
  • Work closely with clients, prospects and the sales team to capture desired functionality & feedback to enhance our products & features in a scalable way.
  • Own our Data Management Platform and relationship with the vendor – including defining data inputs & taxonomy and integrations required to enhance our client offering and product roadmap.Expected to have a desire for problem-solving and work with a large degree of independence in decision-making.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have minimum 5 years previous experience in product management, product marketing, ad technology, digital marketing and/or consulting in a related field.
  • Must have experience with data, including data products such as Data Management Platforms.
  • Must be versed in media and ad technology platforms and have experience partnering with top players in the ecosystem.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideally will have have experience with big data systems and strategies. Including: big data storage & architecture, real-time data delivery (e.g. Server Data Transfer), profile management, taxonomy management and big data analytics (simple correlation and/or modeling).
  • Ideally will have Go To Market & Product Marketing experience, specific to articulating a vision to both internal stakeholders (executives, sales teams) and external (clients, prospects).

Required Education

  • BA / BS required with focus in communication, advertising, business, computer science and/or engineering.
