Sr. Analyst – Food & Beverage Analytics

Food & Beverage Experience Planning & Integration team is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented statistician who will conduct business analysis and clearly articulate recommendations to help drive improvements to the Guest experience and the overall business for WDP&R F&B locations. The ideal candidate should be a solutions oriented self-starter with superior analytical skills, who can leverage a highly complex data set and extract key learning’s and build data science processes. Key areas of analytical exploration would include customer analysis, operations & cost management, product & sales analysis, and inventory & distribution management. She/he should also have excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication and presentation skills. The Candidate must have a proven track record of identifying actionable, data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Use advanced statistical and data mining techniques to conduct deep-dive analyses on various complex data points that impact/drive strategic business decisions
- Develop models grounded in statistical findings
- Build and integrate predictive models
- Manage data and analytics driven F&B projects and initiatives from feasibility through implementation
- Develop easy-to-consume narratives and actionable insights from complex concepts
- Cultivate business operation recommendations and changes based on analytic findings
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams by performing quantitative analyses and ad-hoc reporting to monitor performance and trends
- Proactively identify gaps and opportunities in key areas of analytics and work with cross-functional teams to make improvements
- Incorporate data from the data warehouse to better understand the Guest and Cast behavior
- Stay current on business analytics trends, benchmarking statistics, and Guest behavior/satisfaction research in the foodservice industry
- Discover opportunities through data mining
- Create data science practice standards
Basic Qualifications
- Five plus years of hands-on experience extracting, transforming, analyzing data and providing actionable recommendations
- Experience managing projects and initiatives from feasibility through implementation
- Must be able to take an entrepreneurial, self-starter approach
- Ability to develop clear and concise thoughts into recommendations and findings
- A creative problem solver who is self-motivated and tenacious when tackling complex issues
- Attention to detail, able to validate data and recognize anomalies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven team player with the ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams
- Skilled in working well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Knowledge of advanced statistical and machine learning techniques such as experimental design, decision trees, dimension reduction, resampling methods, and generalized linear models
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using SAS
- Experience using Tableau
- Strong ability to design and develop data using Business Objects
- F&B experience
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
