Job Description

The Revenue Management and Analytics (RM&A) team leverages deep understanding of Guest demographics and behaviors to support the strategic direction and key projects of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. We currently have two Sr. Forecasting Analyst positions open on our team and will be considering talent from this posting for both roles. 

Our Sr. Forecasting Analyst for Admissions Revenue will be responsible for delivering monthly forecasts and data-driven insights for Admissions Revenue and ticket promotions. This position will help the organization understand the current business and support future growth. Responsibilities will include delivering Guest driven analytics, data mining/visualization, and partnering with key business leaders.

Our Sr. Forecasting Analyst for Walt Disney World (WDW) Imaging will be responsible for developing monthly forecasts and data-driven insights for WDW Imaging revenue. Responsibilities include delivering Guest-driven analytics, data mining/visualization, and partnering with key business leaders. Qualified candidates will have a natural curiosity to proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate business performance using data-driven insights.
 

Responsibilities

Analytics and Measurement:

  • Create Walt Disney World admissions revenue long-term monthly forecasts and annual operating plan
  • Develop deep understanding of Guest demographics, purchasing patterns, and behaviors to deliver insights
  • Maintain and improve predictive forecasting models
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to identify, evaluate, and communicate business trends and key metrics
  • Analyze large data sets by leveraging SQL, SAS, and Business Objects


Insights and Strategic Decision Making:

  • Translate business performance drivers and metrics into insightful analysis and recommendations
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders such as Pricing, Consumer Insights, Finance, Marketing, etc,. to influence business decisions
  • Lead efforts to transition to new forecasting methods that deliver more actionable insights into the business

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum five years analysis and/or strategy development experience
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and articulate actionable, fact-based insights and recommendations. Deliver this by telling a simple and compelling story to varying audiences to guide decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data software including spreadsheets and databases
  • Experience with SAS
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a positive demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding business impacts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Walt Disney Parks & Resorts forecasting and planning processes
  • Demonstrated experience working with SAS, Teradata SQL, Tableau, and Business Objects

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering or other quantitative field

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
