Consumer Insight, Measurement, & Analytics (CIMA) is a Global Marketing & Sales organization who informs strategy development and decision-making through actionable data analytics, integration and insights. Within CIMA, the Sales Analytics & Insights (SAI) team provides objective decision support for Sales and Sales Strategy Teams in the following areas: Client & Cast Incentive decision support, Channel analytics & optimization, and Sales Strategy decision support.
The Sr. Analytics & Insights Analyst role is a full time salaried position providing support for the Sales, Strategy, and Sales Planning teams related to accessing, reporting, and analyzing data to help them do their jobs more effectively. The scope responsibilities are to provide objective, value-added insights and analysis to help drive sales recommendations and uncover opportunities to grow the business.
Responsibilities
Given the role’s joint blend of quantitative and qualitative based work, a successful candidate will have the ability to work closely with internal partners developing an understanding of the business needs, identify business trends, and provide insights. The candidate must also be able to develop communication (presentations, visual diagrams, process maps, etc.) documenting current state as well as frame up issues and options for consideration. Responsibilities include data mining leveraging Business Objects, SAS, and/or Excel; strong statistical knowledge, researching discrepancies in data and root cause issues; and visualization of the broader scope.
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to leverage data integration software skills including spreadsheets, databases, and graphics software
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong knowledge of and experience with relational databases, online data management skills, and data warehousing practices
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to partner with others and deal effectively with multiple projects and changing priorities
- Proven experience with data operations as well as understanding and documenting complex data process and flows
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and articulate actionable, fact-based, insights and recommendations. Deliver this by telling a simple, compelling story to varying types of audiences to guide decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated solid experience working with reporting and data mining tools such as SAS, Teradata SQL, Tableau, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, etc.
- Walt Disney Parks and Resorts experience
- Travel industry experience
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with concentration in Data Analysis, Statistics, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Finance.
Preferred Education
- Master's Degree or PhD in Advanced Analytics/Data Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering; MBA
