Job Description

Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI) seeks a research analyst to support the Consumer Insights & Research.

This person will play a key role in sharing ad sales research, competitive and market trends / analysis, audience behavior, and primary research to key internal and external stakeholders.

The research analyst will be responsible for the data mining and analysis of these efforts, providing insights for client presentations and proposals.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Ad Sales Research Analyst will serve as a partner to the DCPI Digital Ad Sales team. The person in this highly visible role will conduct consumer-based studies and synthesize data from multiple research sources to deliver consumer insights and strategic guidance to the DCPI Ad Sales team. This role is an integral member of the DCPI Consumer Insights & Research organization, is based in Glendale, CA, and reports to the Lead Ad Research Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ad Effectiveness - Coordinate with:
    • Disney Digital Network Sales team to be well-versed in existing and upcoming digital ad campaigns (client, timeline, spend level, distribution, content).
    • Disney Digital Network Sales team for research tag implementation, ad campaign status updates, alignment on campaign objectives with questionnaire development, launch of ad effectivess studies and to disseminate results.
    • Market research vendors to manage research tags, questionnaire development, QA survey programming link, data tabulation, and collateral creation
    • Digital Media Research
  • Help develop industry/market intelligence reports and competitive analyses (through secondary research tools and primary studies) to provide sales with additional knowledge
  • Update all monthly data reports and will proactively mine data to provide additional insights
  • Answer ad hoc requests on traffic of various Disney digital properties

Basic Qualifications

  • 1-2 year(s) experience in ad sales research in the digital or media space
  • Experience working with 3rd party research tools, including: comScore, Nielsen, Gfk MRI, Kantar-TNS, eMarketer
  • Ability to communicate complex results to less quantitatively savvy users
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to effectively partner across all levels and skill sets
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be intellectually curious, analytically rigorous, hard-working and a have on-point business intuition

Required Education

  • BA or BS (graduate degree/MBA a plus) from in a quantitative field (Business, Math/Statistics, Economics or similar)
