We work with hundreds of stakeholders across the DATG Digital Media portfolio to design and implement technical ad integrations, manage key vendor relationships, and troubleshoot ad-related issues from pitch to pay. As a Technical Ad Analyst, you will leverage your deep knowledge of the ad ecosystem to triage and troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues. Your day-to-day will involve finding root causes of delivery and forecasting data anomalies, debugging third-party creative problems, testing new products and integrations, and fielding ad-hoc questions from sales, research, engineering, and finance groups across multiple businesses.

Longer-term, you will collaborate with other team members to manage strategic projects, drive system improvements, and build custom tools for internal customers. You will seek out relevant emerging technologies, train yourself and your coworkers, and document the results. Most importantly, you will be given ample opportunity to grow your technical skills, develop relationships across Disney and with our external partners, and help define the future of a complex and growing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot technical ad issues, including delivery, forecasting, billing, reporting, and discrepancies
  • Escalate live-site and vendor issues appropriately, and own communication to all parties
  • Provide testing, QA, and troubleshooting support for new and existing ad integrations
  • Build and update ad system network configurations for multiple business units
  • Communicate project and operational updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive improvements in the ad system based on stakeholder feedback and first-hand experience
  • Write and update internal documentation as well as training guides for other teams
  • Other reasonable activities required by leadership

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in digital advertising or related field
  • Tenacious problem solver; driven to identify and overcome obstacles with minimal oversight
  • Literacy in common web languages and network protocols (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, FTP)
  • Working knowledge of ad systems (FreeWheel, DoubleClick)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of ad system architectures and IAB standards (VAST, VPAID)
  • Experience managing external vendor relationships
  • Ability to analyze large data sets using a variety of tools (Excel, SQL, Hive, Platfora, Tableau)
  • Experience with project- and task-management software (JIRA, Zendesk, Confluence)
  • Television industry or long-form video experience

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
