Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, is proud of its innovative informational technology services, run by our dynamic Institutional Information Systems and Services (IISS) team. Dartmouth currently has an opening in IISS, as we are hiring a Data Warehouse/ETL Developer to provide technical expertise for the data warehouse and the institutional reporting teams.

This talented individual will be responsible for the scripts required to extract, transform, and move data and metadata so they can be loaded into a data warehouse, data mart, or operational data store. The Developer must identify and understand source data systems, and maps source system data to data warehouse models. S/he will also develop and test extraction, transformation and load (ETL) processes, define metadata and rules associated with ETL process, and adapt ETL process to accommodate changes in requirements. The successful candidate will be encouraged to learn new methods and technologies and grow their data warehouse and reporting skills.

Three to five years of data management experience, including two-plus years’ experience with SQL-based business intelligence and reporting tools, or related experience.
One to three years’ experience in database administration, performance tuning and enhancement.
Understanding of source and target data structures, ETL processes, and products.
Knowledge of 3GL/4GL programming languages and ETL products.
Familiarity with all aspects of OLAP technology.
Expertise in data warehousing design principles, data management.
Proficiency in data design, data modeling and decision support systems.
Good verbal and written communications
Enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer-service to our diverse campus
