Job Description
The Senior Analyst will provide Executive-level analysis support to Secretary of the AF Acquisition Integration Directorate (SAF/AQX) to ensure senior leaders have the desired Acquisition program analysis and insights to make informed program decisions. The analyst will apply a broad range of analytical methodologies to develop briefings and reports that will assist AQX in continuing their transformation efforts and measure progress against a series of metrics.
Duties
The incumbent will provide Data analysis, transformation, and report templates in both prototype and development environments to support information needs of AQXL and its customers; testing to enhance the user experience component of AQ Analytics; updating and refreshing monthly data of AQ_Analytics prototype currently being used to provide information to AQXL and its customers; developing executive reports including the following:
AQXL War Room Charts (also used by DEPSECAF) detailed funding, program performance and financial data on Top 25 Air Force firms; Monthly Assessment Report (MAR) - a detailed, 77 page report that shows AQ program performance in easy-to-read format, PEO, ACAT, company, adverse changes, and trends. Detailed report on the requested Company (Corporate Portfolio Package), to include all contract awards in past five years, broken out by contract type and DoD funding organization.
Incumbent must have advanced experience with Excel, statistics and analysis, database design and construction.
- Work with and coordinate efforts with diverse financial or acquisition groups with DoD, the Federal government, and industry
- Author messages, white papers, bullet background papers, or other documents as needed
- Develop documentation and presentations for delivery to clients
- Help resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction
- Foster positive client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, and/or Computer Science
- Dynamic personality that can adapt to changing requirements
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with Air Force operations, acquisition programs and types of data
- 8+ years relevant experience
- Extensive experience in Excel, database design and construction
- Reliable, self-motivated, and focused on quality
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
