Job Overview
Our team aims to deliver new data content within the National Data Warehouse (NDW) in order to perform enterprise level customer analytic and product reporting. The Sr Analyst is to provide technical expertise and support in data analysis, data fact gathering, and creating one unified source for accurate data. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in data mining and extracting customer and product information
  • Primary role is to lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of current NDW projects
  • Be the resident expert on CSG, DST and Oracle systems
  • Ability to develop a solid understanding of the National Data Warehouse, applicable tables and meaning of the data
  • Act as a liaison between business owners and technical associates to ensure the data collected and processed is both actionable and relevant to the project deliverables
  • Provide business translation of technical requirements
  • Assist with business requirements with the key source tables needed for project deliverables
  • Assist with delivery of field requests for NDW data 
  • Maintain Customer Reporting/Subscriber Reporting policies
  • Assist with Master Data Management mapping 
  • Identify and assess data sources and data mapping
  • Identify areas where technology can be used to make processes more efficient
  • Work closely with the technical management team to design and execute all initiatives set forth


Tasks

  • Assists in the development of strategic plans for existing, new, or
  • proposed business operations.
  • Provides analysis and evaluation of cost/expense problems and profit
  • improvement opportunities existing within current business activities.
  • Recommends changes in analysis and budgetary methods and procedures;
  • analyzes the impact of various corporate projects and transactions.
  • Analyzes and communicates weekly metrics, monthly results, quarterly
  • and annual projections.
  • Performs and critiques economic evaluation justifications for capital
  • expenditures.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters
  • of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
  • nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
  • Finance
  • Generally requires 5-7 years related experience


Additional Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology
  • Proficient database coding experience (Teradata SQL Assistant,MS SQL Server Mgmt Studio) required
  • Minimum of 2-4 years relevant work experience
  • Strong understanding of CSG/DST billing system tables and attributes a plus
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills (pivot tables, advanced functions, Visual Basic..etc) a plus
  • Hyperion Essbase knowledge a plus
  • Oracle experience a plus
  • Master Data Management experience recommended
  • Ability to analyze data and work independently
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various functional areas, including field, Region, Division and Corporate personnel
