Job Overview
Responsible for creating and facilitating reporting and analysis to evaluate operational initiatives and increase efficiencies. Develops and maintains standard reporting measures while acting as a Subject Matter Expert on all quantitative explanations of relevant data and ongoing analysis of reporting, alternatives and solutions. Recommends action plans based on all operational reporting analysis. Provides financial reporting, revenue analysis, discount monitoring, promotional modeling and subscriber reporting to various departments within the company. Maps metrics against the Company's operational plans and tactical/strategic goals to ensure alignment and focus. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skill in own discipline and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience or knowledge in subject matter.
Tasks
- Extracts data and supports efforts to maintain accurate master data
- Provides analysis of master and transactional data.
- Maintains multiple operational reporting tools including SQL, OBIEE
- Provides daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports. Provides special reports and analyses to support the business as necessary.
- Prepares reports to be used by other departments.
- Provides analytical support of actual results against budget and feasibility of proposed business strategies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity.
- Identifies issues, analyzes available data and information, and recommends changes to management.
- Provides analysis prior to and following any recommended changes.
- Provides user feedback to management and helps influence future systems enhancements.
- Ensures accuracy of data through partnerships with team members.
- Provides day-to-day validation and spot checks.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
- Generally requires 5-7 years related experience
Additional Requirements
- Strong proficiency with SQL with the ability to write queries and pull data from both Comcast billing systems, CSG/Amdocs
- Proficiency with Oracle (OBIEE)
- Proficiency with National Data Warehouse (NDW) data
- Proficiency with VZW systems; E-Statement, One-Pos
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and v look up
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Essbase, preferred
- Prior cable telecommunication industry experience, Wireless preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills, required to communicate internally with peers and management
- Ability to efficiently organize, manage multiple priorities and be detail oriented
