Job Description

You will be one of the first members of the Collibra Solution Architects (CSA) team. You will also share the experience of building out an innovative technology company. You look forward to the entrepreneurial spirit of that experience. You will be a key hire for our company in terms of supporting and increasing the existing growth on the US market.

The CSA leverage their data governance technical knowledge and industry experience to implement Collibra Data Governance solutions in diverse industries including Banking & Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Pharma & Healthcare, Science & Education, etc. The CSA has a broad knowledge about the data governance space, expert skills in Collibra products and their application in various industries. 

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Postsales Engineer include:

  • planning, executing and following up implementations of Collibra technology as a solution for the customer case;
  • positioning Collibra in the existing application landscape;
  • communicating new user stories derived from the implementation experience to product management;
  • understanding, documenting and articulating the customer case;
  • demonstrating ability to relate business problems to the underlying data and link to solution to solve those business problems;
  • demonstrating and (re-)utilizing knowledge of best practices for related business problems;
  • contributing documentation to the Customer Service Center (knowledge base, cases, ....) and engage with customers in the Collibra Community;
  • providing focused training sessions on Collibra's Data Governance Center (e.g., import, export, workflow, API, installation, integration, operating model configuration, ...);
  • supporting the customer implementation, both functionally (e.g., analysis, design, ...) and technically (e.g., performing software installation, BPMN workflow engineering, setting up scripts, calling (web)service APIs, adding a Java module, creating an integration with a target system, ....);
  • generally supporting the customer implementation and success;

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have excellent (verbal and written) communication skills, the ability to communicate clearly as well as deliver customer presentations and facilitate data stewardship and data governance discussions to arrive at the best solution based upon the business, application and technologies drivers present in a given customer situation. The successful candidate will have the ability to work cooperatively with team members, partners and client and negotiate a solution that is acceptable to all parties. 

The position requires a number of specific skills, including: 

  • Strong business and/or technical analysis background
  • Experience in consulting with senior-level executives
  • Expert knowledge of Collibra and BPMN technology
  • Knowledge of future trends/changes in the industry and the ability to articulate these to customers
  • Resource Management/Scheduling and Project Management
  • Benchmark design, development and execution
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Client interface and consulting skills required
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, analytical and problem solving

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Five years or more of operational or technical experience in data stewardship and data governance implementations
  • Experience with one or more of the following: data scanners, data dictionaries, data warehouses, reporting or system extracts, metadata, business semantics, Big Data.
  • Solid understanding of current data governance topics
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in data issues such as data quality, reference data etc.
  • Client interface and consulting skills required
  • BA or BS in Business or Computer Science (Masters degree preferable)
  • Practical knowledge of database systems (RDBMS)
  • Practical knowledge of Java
  • Practical knowledge of scripting (e.g., Groovy, shell, ...)
  • Practical knowledge of API access (e.g., REST)
