Research Data Specialist I

$67,872 - $84,960 annually

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking an analytic professional well-versed in data management and analysis to join our Electronic Health Records System (EHRS) Documentation and Decision Support team dedicated to the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment (ISUDT) program. 
This newly-created statewide program is designed to provide integrated, specialized care to patients with a history of substance use who require additional medical assistance. 

In this key position, you will assist in the day-to-day clinical management of the ISUDT program, and other related complex patient populations by independently developing, building, testing, and implementing front-end decision-support and documentation methods in EHRS using selected Cerner Millennium I, II, and III software packages, SQL, and CCL.

To thrive in this position, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 12 semester/18 quarter units of coursework in any combination of the following data-driven fields: economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, or statistics, including at least one course in statistical methods; and a minimum 4 years of experience in technical quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including researching, identifying patterns and trends in historical data, as well as data model creation

OR

  • A Master’s degree in economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, or statistics, including at least one course in statistical methods; and a minimum 2 years of experience in technical quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including researching, identifying patterns and trends in historical data, as well as data model creation

OR

  • A Doctoral degree in economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, or statistics, including at least one course in statistical methods; and a minimum 1 year of experience in technical quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including researching, identifying patterns and trends in historical data, as well as data model creation
