Blue Water Satellite is searching for a mathematically literate data scientist for the role of Senior Scientist supporting the Chief Technology Officer of the company. Principal job functions will be developing and exercising algorithms for new satellite, aircraft and drone deployed lidar, multispectral and hyperspectral imagers.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science, a thorough background in basic mathematics including linear algebra, functional analysis, differential geometry, differential and integral equations, and probability and statistics. Significant experience with kernel based statistical learning theory, especially Support Vector Machines, is essential. Image processing experience is highly desirable. The candidate should also be fluent in MATLAB and C++ and be comfortable manipulating large data sets.
