Job Description

The Research Analyst will play a supporting role in ACC’s survey and benchmarking research projects. The position will focus on the generation, analysis and delivery of data related to ongoing surveys, benchmarking, focus groups and census projects.

The position requires excellent communication skills with the ability to present sophisticated data to a broad range of audiences with varying levels of statistical knowledge. All applicants must have a strong work ethic and be personable, proactive and able to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment. It also requires exceptional client service (internal/external), as well as the ability to advance and support objectives set forth in ACC’s Strategic Plan.

Duration:

Temporary Assignment 3-4 months (less than 30 hrs/week)

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Execute and support a broad range of research, benchmarking and survey projects from development to completion.
  2. Engage in a wide range of survey projects, including manipulating and interpreting data, monitoring survey instruments and assisting with project design, including basic and advanced analysis of quantitative and qualitative survey data.
  3. Deliver sophisticated research reports and white papers.
  4. Answer ad hoc research requests and support other divisions with data and presentations.
  5. Review and analyze industry and third party data.
  6. Support other associated tasks and duties, as needed.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business statistics, data science, business intelligence, economics, statistics or a related field. Master’s degree in a relevant field, a plus.

Work Experience:

Must have at least 2 to 3 years professional experience in research methods and statistics. Global experience preferred; language skills are a plus.Required

Strong analytical and critical thinking, excellent time and project management, solid research and data analytics, strong written and oral communication, and superior problem solving.

Capabilities:

  1. Must be able to manipulate and analyze data using SPSS and/or IBM Survey Reporter.
  2. Ability to conduct descriptive and basic predictive analyses and process quantitative data.
  3. Report production including writing, proofing, editing, layout, and table and graph generation.
  4. Ability to clearly communicate data analysis and results visually, orally and in writing.
  5. Assist with the development of new research and benchmarking projects.
  6. Assist in the collection and cleaning of survey data.
  7. Demonstrated ability to develop executive level reports, presentations and briefings.
  8. Ability to work under pressure, with minimum supervision and tight deadlines.
  9. Must have a strong work ethic and be very organized, proactive and detail oriented.
  10. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) Bilingual proficiency, a plus.
