Program Manager, Enterprise Information Management

Ascensus is the largest independent retirement and college savings services provider in the United States.  We deliver our services through internal and external web applications that focus on financial recordkeeping, administration, and program management services.

As a Program Manager for the Enterprise Information Management group, you will be responsible for the vision and execution in the areas of data governance, business intelligence and predictive analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction for how we use data internally and externally.
  • Define the data governance model.
  • Develop road map and drive organization to desired maturity level to support growth and initiatives
  • Establish an Enterprise Data Governance Council to deliver operational data and analytics as a shared service organization
  • Data management policies
  • EDM organizational infrastructure
  • Comprehensive Information Architecture
  • Direct, manage and monitor all aspects of data services and solutions to ensure support of Ascensus strategies and enhancements

  • Lead the data science and analytics team for Ascensus.
  • Act as a key thought leader in defining big data road map, business intelligence and data strategy; leveraging data assets in support of strategy.
  • Drive ownership, management and delivery of solutions to business clients and establish a robust vision for growing the Data Science team.
  • Spearhead the relationship development and technology evaluation for new prospective partnerships.
  • Educate the business on Data Science services by communicating the vision and value of advanced analytics.
  • Analyze and solve complex business problems by leveraging industry knowledge and expertise and being a proactive thinker offering recommendations in data science to drive change and deliver results.
  • Proactively champion the value of data as a strategic business asset and revenue generator by selling ideas and being able to transform those ideas into action.
  • Promote the use of new technology and industry leading trends as a creative thinker.
  • Establish a level of trust and credibility by building and maintaining relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Advocate decision-making and get “buy in” while building partnerships with clients and across the organization by fostering collaboration.
  • Create and Implement data strategies, standards, procedures and accountability policies.
  • Be a creative problem solver and generate ideas that will benefit the company; recognize opportunities within the market and quickly mobilize to take advantage of those opportunities by creating, articulating and executing against the strategic plan.
  • Skillfully guide and influence through change management and communicate directions clearly.
  • This position manages the EIM teams, including Predictive Analytics, Business Intelligence and data governance.

 

Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research or related STEM major.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in technology, business management and/or consulting roles.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role with proven experience building and leading a data science organization or practice.
