Position Summary:
Amazon Instant Video is changing the way people watch movies and TV shows, offering more than 150,000 new release movies, next-day television shows, and classic favorites available to rent or purchase on demand, and more than 38,000 titles available to customers with an Amazon Prime membership. We are seeking an exceptionally talented analyst to support business teams with insights and reporting in our growing Digital Video business. The successful candidate must be a strategic thinker with the ability to understand business strategy, provide consultative business analysis, and leverage technical aptitude to create insightful and effective reporting. The leader must have a passion to dive deep, a high level of customer focus and a track record in process improvement. The analyst must have proven technical skills, project management skills and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Our Business Analyst Duties & Responsibilities will include:

  • Define and deliver reporting that supports the analytical needs of internal business leaders.
  • Use analytical insights to help increase teams effectiveness against key strategic goals.
  • Define process to help manage KPIs for the organization and provide an environment where key trends are recognized and acted-upon proactively.
  • Serve as business lead for the internal reporting. Provide business requirements across all business reports.
  • Ensure clear communication and coordination across the business, finance and technical teams.
  • Quickly build a thorough understanding of the Digital Video industry, its seasonality and global business trends and continually monitor the impact of important industry developments.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Statistics or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in web analytics, business analysis or comparable analytics position.
  • 5+ years relational database and SQL skills in Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 or other database platform.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in BI/DW as a change leader providing strategic research, recommendations, and implementations

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate with colleagues
  • Proven experience in BI/DW as a change leader providing strategic research, recommendations, and implementation in both business and technical roles
