Working as a consultant with Accenture, you will build core business, technology and industry expertise helping to deliver world-class business and technology solutions that enable clients to become high performance businesses.  You will work on solving our clients’ most complex problems.  Consultants must be professionals who have an interest in how business processes work and interact.  In addition, consultants need to apply their skills in project and program management while exhibiting leadership in process re-engineering and implementation of process, technology, and organizational change.  Finally, consultants also need to have a working knowledge of the industry and/or the functional areas they serve.

The Consulting workforce is made up of three groups: Management Consulting, System Integration Consulting and Technology Consulting.  This consulting group structure provides outstanding opportunities to develop highly specialized skills that will help you advance your career.

Individuals in this role will be part of our System Integration Consulting group, our Information Management Practice, and our Data Management Specialty.

Systems Integration Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering large-scale, complex programs that marry processes with technology to help our clients achieve high performance.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Configure, administer, monitor, manage Hadoop / NoSQL clusters
  • Troubleshoot production issues with Hadoop/NoSQL 
  • Tune Hadoop / Cassandra clusters
  • Backup/Restore
  • Data store administration

In addition, individuals in this role are also part of Accenture Digital, Data & Analytics, which is part of Accenture's Technology Growth Platform (TGP).  TGP offers a full range of global delivery services - from enterprise solutions, system integration, technical architectures, business intelligence, infrastructure consulting, and technology research/development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1  year managing, tuning and sizing either a Hadoop or Cassandra(DataStax) cluster in an operational environment
  • Minimum 1 year of Unix experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Scripting
  • Minimum 1 year of knowledge with OS and Infrastructure (Cloud and On-Premise)
  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree

Preferred Skills:

  • Full life cycle Development 
  • Industry experience (financial services, resources, healthcare, government, products, communications, high tech) 
  • Experience leading teams

Professional Skill Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
